Advanced Sensors Program Manager

Minimum/General Experience:
Fifteen years of professional scientific or engineering experience, combined with project management/leadership skills required.  Prefer prior experience working with NVESD, Ft. Belvoir, VA or other DoD sensor oriented laboratories.

Functional Responsibility:
Works with company management to build business in the sensor research and development market. Generates and sells work onto existing contracts within DoD. Is a capable generalist with broad knowledge of the technologies and capabilities of RF and/or EO/IR systems, including counter-IED systems. Is comfortable addressing complex technical challenges. Is capable of leading a technical team to accomplish broad project requirements. Has experience capturing and generating proposal material for solicitations with DoD and other agencies.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, mathematics or computer science. 

Summary Description:
The candidate must be able to manage projects calling for the ability to fabricate hardware and software prototypes; the ability to acquire specific existing technologies and equipment and the ability to integrate that equipment into various hardware, systems and software; the ability to demonstrate new concepts; the expertise to perform computer modeling experiments; and the capability for supporting diverse laboratory and field testing.
