Position Description: Position requires thorough knowledge of Aegis Combat System support requirements to include, power, cooling, air and monitoring systems and engineering techniques. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices. Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:
• Conceptual designs and process development reports
• Block Flow Diagrams (BFD) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
• Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Process engineering calculations.
• Material and energy balances.
• Basis of design process scope documents.
• Equipment layouts.
• Process system construction specifications
Position Requirements:
Bachelors in Engineering or related discipline required. Masters degree preferred
Minimum of 5-10 years of Aegis Combat System experience.
Be able to work with many people from many organizations to facilitate and formulate solutions. Position requires a self-starter who works well with others in coordinating and performing a wide variety of tasks. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is a firm requirement.
