ADVANCED RADAR SYSTEMSTSC supports the Radar Systems Division in performing research, concept formulation, design, development, test and evaluation of new radars for the Surface Navy. Radars serve as the primary ship-board sensors for the Surface Navy in support of a large number of missions, including Theater Ballistic Missile Defense (TBMD). The Navy is in the process of developing a family of new radars to pace the evolving threat, replace obsolete equipment and provide capabilities to meet new mission requirements. The Radar Systems Division will work to ensure that there is a coordinated program for the development of these new radars.
