TSC provides
expert engineering and analysis support for the microwave devices in
complex radar and communications systems throughout their life cycles.
TSC's customers include the United States Navy and Air Force and the
Federal Aviation Administration. Microwave devices are often primary
drivers of radar and communications system cost, reliability, and performance.
Controlling costs and ensuring reliable system operation requires intimate
familiarity with the characteristics of microwave devices throughout
the life cycle. TSC's engineers, scientists and computer specialists
are a premier team, experienced with microwave device development from
conceptualization to retirement.
TSC Indiana
Operations plays a leading role in many modern microwave systems including
the Navy AEGIS system. The Indiana Operations has been part of the Navy's
AEGIS team for more than 20 years, participating in the Research
and Design
of microwave devices for the AEGIS Combat System from the AN/SPY-1A
configuration on CG-47 to the AN/SPY-1D (V) for the DDG-91. TSC has
built its broad microwave device expertise from hands-on industry experience,
long-term Naval involvement, and academic research. Our experience with
AEGIS spans all elements of system support, including Analysis,
Test,
and Product Improvement
of its more than 150 Vacuum Electronic Devices (VEDs).
In addition
to its key role in the AEGIS Combat System, TSC specialists support
a wide range of other advanced radar and communications systems for
the Navy of today and of the future. TSC support for the microwave devices
used in these systems ranges from component selection and analysis to
complex interface, test, and integration solutions. Our engineers are
experts in solid state and vacuum rf devices, antennas, and subsystems.
TSC computer
specialists assist customers to set up and maintain automated test facilities
for a variety of microwave components. They have applied their broad-based
engineering and computer skills to the test and evaluation of VEDs,
such as Traveling Wave Tubes (TWT), to cutting-edge solid state devices
and to complex phased-array antennas. This unique test capability ensures
consistent and accurate tests are coupled with the ability to track
component life and reliability throughout the system's life cycle.
In addition
to TSC's support of emerging systems and technologies, our engineers
and scientists help customers develop and maintain major repair facilities
for a myriad of radar and communications-related components ranging
from VEDs for AEGIS, MK-99, MILSTAR, and AN/APS-115 to antennas for
the AN/SPS-48 and solid state sources for CEC. TSC engineers also help
customers extend the effective life of their legacy systems through
Reverse Engineering
obsolete components, finding appropriate substitutes for materials and
components that have become Diminishing Manufacturing Source (DMS) victims,
finding environmentally friendly substitutes for hazardous materials,
and choosing alternative VEDs and solid state devices for aging systems.
TSC Indiana
Operations is your source for wide-ranging engineering support and management
of your valuable complex microwave components. Whether the problem is
materials and manufacturing support for vacuum electronics, design analysis
of complex solid-state subsystems, or management of life cycle and reliability
of critical assets, TSC can help.
