The GeoSAR system, operated by Fugro/EarthData, provides wide area digital elevation maps for U.S. and foreign customers. TSC is a major provider of radar technology for GeoSAR, including hardware, software, and systems engineering.
The GeoSAR airborne system utilizes an X-band interferometric synthetic aperture radar (IFSAR), a dual-polarized P-Band IFSAR, and a height-profiling laser system (LIDAR) to supply the growing market for intelligence and 3-D mapping products. The system is unique in that it achieves foliage penetration using the P-band radar, provides high resolution imagery with both P- and X-Band radar, and measures accurate height information at both bands. These capabilities are utilized independently or in combination to provide intelligence and geospatial products. The GeoSAR system has been used to map areas in the U.S., Asia, and South America.

TSC supports both the airborne data collection and ground-based processing elements of the system in areas of radar systems engineering, hardware and software upgrades, calibration, and problem resolution. Significant upgrades that have been designed and integrated by TSC include:
- Replacement of obsolete airborne tape recorders with a low-cost disk storage system
- Enhanced in-flight diagnostics to insure data quality
- Calibration automation
- Replacement of the chain of airborne digital components with a modern, integrated TSC-designed Digital Processor
