TSC is developing Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) algorithms for
application to both space and airborne platforms. TSC is supporting
the Air Force Research Laboratory on the TechSat 21 Microsatellite Program,
which will employ a novel distributed aperture concept to perform taskable
mapping, surveillance and other missions. STAP is a critical component
of the radar design for canceling interference from clutter and jamming.
TSC is also developing new STAP concepts for next generation airborne
surveillance platforms under contract to Northrop Grumman. For both
of these efforts, a STAP analysis software tool, originally developed
under TSC IR&D funding is being used to analyze the performance
of various radar waveforms and antenna configurations for stressing
operational scenarios.
